I was born to Roberto Sr. and Belinda Jaranilla. They raised me with my brother Joel & sister Jessa in a devout Catholic family in Bacolod, Philippines.
In 1982 I graduated at St. John's Institute, a Chinese Catholic HS. I received a BS Degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University in 1986. In 1987, seeking greener pastures, I came to the U.S. to pursue a Masters Degree in Computer Science at West Coast University, California. Little did I know that God had a different green pasture planned for me.
A conversion experience led me to St. John's Seminary, Camarillo in 1991 and got ordained in 1996. My first assignment was Christ the King, Hollywood, then St. Raymond in Downey, followed by All Souls, Alhambra, and St. Joseph, Pomona where I served as administrator & pastor for 13 years. July 1st 2017 I started a new chapter in my priestly life and ministry as pastor of Nativity, El Monte. I feel so blest to serve and journey together with the faithful of Nativity parish and school. It is clear to me now that the Church & His people were the green pastures God had in mind for me all along.
